You can’t put your hand in a bucket of glue without some of that glue sticking to you. When I heard Jack Canfield say that, while I was listening to his Success Principles book on my iPod, I thought for myself: “What kind of Bucket do I put my hand into?”.
The more you read about successful people, the more you hang out with kind and caring people, the more you become successful, kind and caring. It prompted me to purchase more audio-books biographies about people that succeeded in one way or another. It prompted me to email friends that have a good influence on me. It prompted me to hang out more with people I want to be like and politely decline invitations of ‘draining’ people who have the opposite effect on me.
Life is so short, there is no time to risk getting spoiled by unwanted behaviours. Do some clean up in your life. Set yourself up for success by spending time and energy putting your hand in the right type of bucket.
