I love this old story: An old man was showing up at work everyday complaining at lunch time about the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in his lunch box. Everyday, he was opening up his lunch box in disappointment and was manifesting louder each time how he was sick and tired of these peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
One day, one of his co-worker said: “Why don’t you ask your wife to make you something else?”. And the grouchy man responded: “What are you talking about? I am not married. I make my own darn sandwiches!”
So really, most of the times, we are the instigators of the things that we are complaining about. We have to own our decisions and start creating the type of life we want to live. What are you sick of? What are you tired of? What can you do about it? Stop complaining and start looking into recipe books to discover all the other types of sandwiches available out there.
