Do You Go to the Dentist?

  • Even people who brush their teeth on a regular basis, floss, rinse, etc. still need to go the dentist a few times per year. We cannot fix a cavity ourselves just by brushing and flossing our teeth. The dentist has special tools to scrape all the unwanted stuff off our teeth and fill the cavities. We are not bad people because we need to go to the dentist. There are things we just cannot remove or fix ourselves. It is the same for our brain.
  •  Think of me like a dentist for your brain. I help with the clean-up of unwanted stuff that is not serving us, such as negative self-talk, negative emotions, self-sabotage, limiting beliefs, bad habits, traumas, ptsd, etc.
  •  Everybody needs a good clean up once in a while even if they have a perfect dental hygiene routine!

The D.N.A. System

The structure of the system is simple. Pretend you are renovating a kitchen.

The first step is to decide on the design of your new kitchen. You need to know what you want. So you create a folder and collect samples of hardwood floors, cupboards, countertops, paint, backsplash tiles, etc. In life or a business project, this translates to establishing goals, objectives, detailed targets and timeframe, making a list, creating a vision board, etc.

Now, this is just a folder. It is not a new kitchen. You cannot cook in a folder nor can you invite guests. This is just the first step. It is imperative to know what you want, but it doesn't stop there. If vision boards alone worked, we would all be living on deserted islands, sipping martinis, driving Mercedes Benz.

We need two more steps in order to Actualize our Desires.

A main problem for many people is after creating their "list", they immediately try to implement these new habits into their lives. It's like they're trying to put the new cupboards over the existing cupboards, or they try to install a new island over the existing one. It's not gonna work.

You need to gut the old kitchen first.

The second step is demolition and cleaning; we need to remove the existing cupboards, as it is impossible to install new ones on top of the old ones. We eliminate limiting beliefs, negative self-talk, powerful emotions like anger, fear, hurt, sadness, guilt, get rid of barriers and bad habits and redirect or disconnect neural pathways in the brain in order to re-create new ones.

I use specific processes with my clients in order to disconnect the bad stuff that you no longer need and which are taking you into self-sabotage mode.

Once you have created space, you can install and secure the new floors and cupboards. You are mentally ready to install new behaviours and beliefs along with the action plan you elicited in step one. You can operationalize the objectives.

PTSD - Trauma - Phobia

PTSD doesn't only occur to someone who has experienced the battlefield. Trauma can happen in your life as well.

  • Is there an event that you keep replaying in your head?
  • A thought that makes you feel angry or guilty?
  • A place or person that you are trying to avoid as it scares you or hurts you?
  • Do you have difficulty falling or staying asleep?
  • Are you more easily startled?
  • Are you blaming yourself for something?
  • Do you have alcohol or substance problem?
  • Do you have difficulty concentrating?
  • Do you feel overwhelm?
You may be experiencing trauma.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced an event where they experienced fear, terror or helplessness. Symptoms may include disturbing thoughts, feelings, or dreams related to the events, mental or physical distress to trauma-related cues, attempts to avoid trauma-related cues, alterations in the way a person thinks and feels, and an increase in the fight-or-flight response. These symptoms last for more than a month after the event. Young children are less likely to show distress but instead may express their memories through play. A person with PTSD is at a higher risk of suicide and intentional self-harm.

Besides my signature D.N.A. System and the multiple processes I use with my clients, I am also a Certified Practitioner of the RTM Protocol.

The Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories™ Protocol (RTM) is a uniquely effective breakthrough treatment for PTSD. The RTM's Creator, Dr. Frank Bourke, realized how effective this protocol was after 9/11 when he worked with employees whose offices were above the 100th floor of Tower Two. He made it his life’s mission to scientifically prove its clinical effectiveness and bring it to the millions in need of its life-saving help. The RandR project is a 501©3 non profit dedicated to providing the nationally needed breakthrough treatment for Post Traumatic Stress. The RTM Protocol is a non-drug, re-imaging Protocol that takes 5 hours to administer and, under strict scientific scrutiny, is eliminating PTSD symptoms in over 90% of those treated.

RTM has proven particularly effective for treating veterans who have experienced combat, and for people who have experienced sexual, childhood and other severe traumas. I have helped people with different trauma: abduction, sexual abuse, violence, motorcycle and snowmobile accident, rough childhood, grief, physical conditions,

The focus of RTM is to separate the traumatic feelings from the memories using a relaxed re-imaging process. Clients are guided to dissociate themselves from the traumatic memories and while separated from feelings of fear, terror or helplessness, make changes, so that the memory no longer signals fight, flight or danger. Following RTM treatment, people find they are no longer feel preoccupied with trauma events and their nightmares and flashbacks no longer trouble them.

The RTM Protocol is Proudly supported by:

Do you believe you have PTSD or have experienced trauma? We can fill out the PSSI-5 form together to find out if you are carrying some past experiences that may be holding you back. The PSSI-5 is a Posttraumatic Symptom Scale-Interview Version for DSM-5 (PSS-I-5). The PSS-I-5 is a widely utilized PTSD measure administered by an interviewer. It is a semi-structured interview providing a categorical diagnosis, as well as a measure of the severity of PTSD symptoms.
