book-cover-for-website-300x300My friend Drew Taddia wrote an awesome book called Detoxify Yourself. It is a life long way of living a healthy Lifestyle. He put together a great compilations of years of experience bettering his own lifestyle, writing in his own easy-to-read way, what he had learned through all his years as a self-learned-fitness expert and professional athlete.

Let’s all be easy on ourselves and realize that engaging ourselves on a path to a healthy lifestyle is always a great start, but not an end. When you embark on a 30 days detox, or a diet, or a change, it is making you cross the starting line on a life long enjoyable ride to a healthier and happier living. You are not crossing the finish line on day 30… so there is plenty of time to continue improve your own life at your own rhythm. No rush. Do one thing at the time.

drink coffeeI am a firm believer in baby steps. Eliminate one bad thing at the time. Change one bad habit at the time. Once successful, find something else. What is the next level after? If your cup of coffee in the morning is putting you in the mood right now of getting rid of worse bad habit, then keep the coffee as a tool for the rest. If you are debating whether or not to use plastic containers, change your type of deodorant for a natural one, switch flour from refined to whole grain, etc., ask yourself: « Is this the next step for you? Have you gotten rid of everything else toxic and the plastic containers are the most dreadful things in your house?  » Aim for constant little improvements, and feel successful! You are the only judge of what is « allowed » for you at this time.

I don’t drink coffee myself, we are all at different stages of our journey, but all together on the same path. Let’s enjoy the ride together!
