Do you feel stuck sometimes? Okay. I agree that the picture below, the one of the cow that's stuck over a fence, is a bit extreme. It doesn't really happen in our everyday life, am I right? It's a different way of getting stuck. Maybe we're burying our head in the sand, maybe we're not sure why we're not performing at our best, maybe we are procrastinating, maybe we're have a hard time sleeping, or maybe we are just not feeling our mojo and we feel like we could do so much better... Why is that?

Well, very often, it's because there's something holding us back.

I just ended an RTM protocol this week. It's a series of steps that I do with my clients to help them get rid of PTSD following traumas. And no, you don't have to have been in a burning car or have been to war in order to experience PTSD or to have experienced trauma. There are a lot of things that keep us stuck, and they are very often classified as trauma and PTSD. As I was saying, I just completed one of my client's treatment. It's a five hour process, split in 3 sessions.

Every time, the biggest proof that it works is when they go from getting stuck to feeling invincible, to thriving. This moment happens when they are thankful and grateful for the thing that they thought was holding them back, the thing that made them feel stuck or the event that happened, even though it's usually very unfortunate. There comes a moment throughout the process when we try a positive revised version of the event, and we ask: "What if we could just erase the past and change what happened? What would you like to have happened instead?" And then they're free to imagine and feel how it would've felt if they had lived something different. It's a huge win when my client turns around and says: "Well, now that I have all my learnings, and now that I realize how resilient it made me, now I don't want it to have happened any other way. I'm just grateful and thankful it brought me to where I am today."

Gratitude is the key to getting unstuck. It's finding that learning, finding what made you the person that you are today. Once you're grateful and thankful for this, that's when you know you are now invincible, thriving and you're not stuck anymore. The bottom line is: The key to thriving is gratitude.

The THINK Yourself® GRATEFUL book has a system to create a habit of being grateful. It's a daily journal that you fill out. You know how muscles get stronger as we work and train them? Gratitude is like a muscle. By practicing over and over, you will slowly create a habit in your mind of finding the good in things and finding what you're grateful and thankful for.

With that being said, I have a surprise for you. I have decided, because it's Thanksgiving this week, the time of giving & sharing, that I will gift the paperback version of THINK Yourself® GRATEFUL for FREE to the first 50 people who will order it. You just have to pay for the shipping! Follow THIS LINK to have access to the gift. It's mainly for Canadians, unfortunately.
