I remember when I hosted my first webinar, I was calling it a webiner. Even on the Ad-invite it said Webiner with an "e"... It was not a typo. I really thought that it is what it was called. I had NO CLUE what I was doing. I was hearing this voice in my head telling me: "You're so bad with technology! There is no way you can keep up with all of this stuff."
So, I Was Working HARD.
Every time my phone would push an update on me (because I was never intentionally saying yes to an update), it would take me weeks to get used to the new layout. I remember not being able to send a text message once because I could no longer find the Messaging APP on my phone.
So I was always having to work harder. I was building the THINK Yourself® ACADEMY and I had an increased presence on social media, doing more marketing, having to have systems and strategies to save time when onboarding new clients, trying to follow up with them, trying to offer a personalized and caring approach for customer service but I did not have TIME nor the MONEY to do it all. The harder I worked, the more exhausted I felt. I had zero life balance. I would never see my husband or spend time with the kids and I was thinking...
..If only I could make more money, I could hire someone to get more stuff done...
The more successful I was, the more I was reinvesting in my business and the more money it was costing me to keep this business alive anyways. And I still was living paycheck to paycheck because everything that I was making, I was reinvesting it into the next new thing. It just didn't make sense. I was looking at people going away for two months during the winter. And I was like: "I can't even take a day off. How are they doing this?"
That's When I Realized I Needed to Change the Way I was Doing Business.
So I thought: "Okay, how are people doing this?" Some people told me I needed to have some stuff automated on my website so that I could MAKE MONEY WHILE I SLEEP.
Yeah right!
I did not even have a proper website, just an old website that really needed to be upgraded.
But I did not have thousands of dollars for a full website revamp. I wish I would have been able to do this myself.
BUT I WAS SOOO BAD WITH TECHNOLOGY!!!
And my friends were constantly showing me their new app that does this and their new shortcut that does that and it was honestly very frustrating for me as IT SEEMED TO BE SO EASY FOR OTHERS.
So that is when I realized I needed to change the way I thought of TECHNOLOGY.
It started with getting rid of the limiting belief that Technology was Hard and Frustrating!
I realized that it was NOT MY FAULT. By default, when you learn something new, you are not good at it... YET.
The reason why I was not successful was because I was expecting to get it right away and I was not opening myself to think that I could learn it. I WAS GIVING UP very easy, saying: "Nah, that's not for me."
Whether I liked it or not, I had to keep up with the latest and greatest and in some ways, I was making it even harder by resisting it. So why not change my way of thinking?
That's when I realized that technology is an ongoing reality that will keep evolving and that I needed to make myself good at learning. I needed to develop my "tech-sense" so that I would get excited when something new would come.
THIS WAS A HUGE GAME-CHANGER.
So I started my Quest to start learning more about technology, apps, shortcuts that could make my life easier.
I did SPEND HOURS & HOURS Watching tutorials, Youtube videos, assisting to webinars, trying to find the best or least expensive apps, the cools things that could make my life easier and move my business forward.
