S<\/span>ince the pandemic started, <\/span>my husband and I<\/span> have been p<\/span>laying cards <\/span>a quite a lot<\/span> and <\/span>I have to say, <\/span>we’re just loving it. We<\/span> often<\/span> play a game called Spite and Malice<\/span>. <\/span>Rest assured, the name doesn\u2019t have much to do with the game.  <\/p>\n

A<\/span>s my regular readers already know, <\/span>I have quite a competitive streak<\/span>, so<\/span> I really like this particular game because <\/span>I win a lot.  I feel bad<\/span>ly<\/span> <\/span>for my husband (no I don\u2019t).  Sometimes <\/span>I <\/span>lose on purpose (at least that\u2019s what I tell him when he wins!)  Anyhow,<\/span> last night, my husband lost<\/span> yet, <\/span>he had the winning card<\/span> in his hand<\/span>. He had the card he needed to finish his deck first – the goal of the game <\/span>\u2013<\/span> <\/span>but<\/span>he had not <\/span>seen <\/span>it. <\/span>  <\/span>I think the same thing happens to us in life. <\/span>O<\/span>ften, we’re so convince<\/span>d<\/span> we’re going to lose<\/span> <\/span>because we’ve lost so many times before, that we don’t even see we have the <\/span>winning <\/span>card in our hand<\/span>. It\u2019s like we\u2019re blind to the possibility of winning! <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Has there ever been a time in <\/span>your life <\/span>when you were <\/span>so convinced th<\/span>ings were not<\/span> going to work<\/span> out that <\/span>you d<\/span>idn<\/span>‘t <\/span>even <\/span>see that the solution <\/span>was right in front of you? What about now? D<\/span>o have the <\/span>winning <\/span>cards in your hand<\/span>? <\/span> S<\/span>tep <\/span>back <\/span>and take a good look at what you\u2019ve got.  Look at the cards you\u2019ve been dealt but also assess your assets. Do you already have what it takes to make those cards work for you?  Look again.  You just might have the winning card in your hand<\/span> too!<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
